You bought a new phone/tablet which is not Samsung or any of those branded phones. You want to transfer files between your phone/tab and your PC. You connect it to the PC via usb, you hear a sound and go to My Computer to click on phone/tablet drive. But you don’t find it and you try it again and again, but nothing happens.
Drivers for Samsung and Nokia phones/tablets are easily available online. But not so for other phones/tablets. You search for your phone’s/tablet’s driver online but in vain, you just don’t get it or you are confused about the various models.
It happened to me. I was searching for asus fonepad driver which is my cousin’s. All I knew was the model no., which is K004. I searched and searched, but I got confused about the various models. There were so many fonepad tabs.
Then I came across a way to install drivers for any phone or tablet. Which is so easy, even an adult can do it.
This won’t take that long.
First make sure your phone/tablet is connected to the PC via usb and you have a internet connection. Good.
Go to run and type device manager. The list will show all the hardware.
Look for Portable Devices. Click on it. Your phone’s/tablet’s driver which is not installed will be shown, along with exclamation mark. Click on it.
There will be four tabs on the top. Click on Driver tab. Look for Update Driver and click on it. It will search for the driver software online and install them.
Bingo! You can now transfer files between your phone/tab and your PC. Remember, you can apply this to any phone or tablet.
